Safaris into the Wilderness
Magic Botswana
Routing: After transiting the Limpopo Province of South Africa this journey already crosses on its second day the borders into Botswana where you will pull in at the Khama Rhino project, researching the last Black Rhinos in Botswana. Following the virtually endless salt pans of Makgadikgadi you will eventually arrive at the famous grove of the massive Baines Baobabs. Depending on seasonal rains you may be able to watch Africa's third largest migration of Blue Wildebeest and Zebras crossing the Boteti River. Ultimately and amidst the mighty Kalahari you will reach the lush and animal rich Okavango Delta, the largest inland delta in the world and best to be explored by a "Mokoro" (local dugout canoes). We carry on North and enter into the Nature Reserve of Moremi, will follow the Kwhai River and continue to Savuti marsh known for large pride of Lion before we then ultimately arrive at the scenic wide stream of the Chobe River. The entire region is domicile to the highest concentration of Elephants in Africa with more than 45.000 animals. Another crowning highlight of this Safari will be the legendary Victoria Falls dividing Zimbabwe and Zambia. Here the fearless can experience the great Zambezi River on a white water rafting trip down the rapids. Compass now swivels and we head South again for Nata with its huge bird sanctuary and flamingo retreat on the edges of the salt pans. Our last station will be eventually the Tuli Block Wilderness Area prominent for the high density of Leopards and where we undertake an outstanding game drive at night. On this Safari you visit the probably remotest and untouched Game Reserves in Africa. Large Lion prides, herds of Elephants and Buffalo, from close range and without fences, Hippos, Giraffes and many other species and a never seen before bird life. Float in a canoe through the river arms and reeds of a delta and listen to the sounds of Hyenas at night. Many sections of this Safari are only accessible with a well prepared four-wheel drive vehicle and supply points are often a long way and days away from each other. You will experience nature, predators and big game never ever as close as on this expedition.
