Land Rover Rental

Kwenda Safari has a large fleet of fully equipped Land Rovers Defenders available for rental purposes for travel throughout Southern Africa and as far North as Kenya. The vehicles are new/late models in good condition and well maintained. While we strongly recommend the Land Rover as an excellent option for a self-drive we can also arrange other vehicle types should you have any other particular vehicle preference.

In addition to the factory fitted features of the Defender, all vehicles are equipped with proven safari and camp equipment necessary for safari travel, which includes long-range fuel tanks, large drinking water tank with outside tap, a dual battery system, strong aluminium roof racks, bull bar and a host of other items listed on the list supplied below.

All Categories include: fully equipped vehicle with all camping gear, standard insurance cover, cross border travel, unlimited kilometres, own 7days/24 hours roadside assistance, airport transfers, equipment for up to five passengers.

Special Conditions: please contact us with your intended travel dates to see if special rates are available; we also offer special conditions for long term rentals or the simultaneous rental of more than one vehicle.

"Frequent-Explorer" Status: our return customers automatically qualify for our Frequent-Explorer status which provides for special conditions on the forthcoming booking.

Booking Assistance: for all our clients we offer booking assistance en route and will care about enquiring, reserving and payment of camps, lodges and activities. On collection of your car you will receive from us all vouchers of your reservations and travel directions.

General Conditions:

5 days minimum rental
15% deposit required for booking confirmation
Final payment on collection of vehicle
Payment can be done by credit card, bank transfer or cash

Insurance

A standard insurance cover is included in our daily rental rates and covers comprehensive insurance with excess.

Insurance excess:
Euro 2.000,00 per vehicle

Optional insurance cover:

Standard Plus: Excess is reduced to half for damages and set to zero for theft. Daily surcharge: 8 EUR.

Super Cover Select: Excess for damages and theft is reduced to zero; glass and tyres are included; salvaging, towing and recovery within the borders of South Africa, Botswana and Namibia is included; deposit on vehicle collection is reduced to 300 EUR only (instead of 2.000 EUR). Daily surcharge: 22 EUR.

Insurance Conditions:

Minimum age of driver 23 years
Valid drivers license to be presented on collection of car
Credit card required for deposit of excess, reduced amount with Super Cover Select
