Safaris into the Wilderness
4x4 Namibia
Routing:
From Windhoek we drive north towards Twyfelfontein and carry on to Brandberg, where ancient rock paintings can be discovered. Navigating our way through open country, sand dunes and mountainous areas we dive deeper and deeper into Damaraland, being out of the ordinary home for some of the rare Black Rhinos. Further north in the mighty Kaokoveld we enter the tribal areas of the Himba before we eventually reach the striking settings of the Kunene River, forming the border to Angola. Following the river gorges we will get to Epupa, inviting us for an overnight stay in the middle of remotest wilderness. Only four wheel drive vehicles are capable to carry on over sandiest tracks to Ruacana Falls, rewarding us on arrival with a scenic backdrop. Etosha Pan is the probably one of the best known National Parks in Namibia and a game drive at night will impart unforgettable impressions. The next stretch will lead us now to the distant Tsumkwe, central hub of the Bushmen territory. On a walking safari through the bush we will learn about their impressive native skills and knowledge. Demanding tracks with deep sand bring us to one of the remotest parks: Kaudom Park is characterised by riverbeds hardly carrying water and bizarre sere forests. Our last station before we head back is the lush oasis at Ngepi directly situated at the Kunene River. It is rated one of the finest camps of Southern Africa and definitely a crowning highlight on this Safari. Passing the massive Waterberg Plateau we are led back to Windhoek, where this awe-inspiring Safari ends. This Safari is considered for the Namibia lover who wants to protrude into new territories which are almost inaccessible. Distant areas and isolated ethnic groups dominate this Safari. The routing is very ambitious and you will leave home with African dust in your veins.
